The conference is designed to assist and support women who recognize a need to continue their education in order to achieve an improved situation in the work place.  The day long event focuses on the issues women experience when returning to school.  These issues include the admissions process, course options, employment outlook, personal aptitude, financial aid, tutoring assistance, study skills, and childcare support.

The day begins with an address from the keynote speaker and followed by various presentations from the previously mentioned topics.

The Women in Transition Conference is sponsored jointly by several AAUW branches, Baker College, Oakland Community College, and Michigan Works!
